Are You Willing to Pay for Innovation? Zeekr MIX Launches with More Than Just Extreme Space
On October 23, the Zeekr MIX was officially launched. Built on Geely’s SEA-M architecture, the new vehicle is available in two versions: the Intelligent Driving Edition and the Long-Range Intelligent Driving Edition. The car sets a new standard for maximizing space utilization, with an impressive 93% of the interior dedicated to seating. Its B-pillar-free design allows the driver and front passenger seats to rotate 270° via electric controls—undoubtedly an innovative approach.
B-Pillar-Free: A “Baby Bus” with a Bold Layout
Eliminating the B-pillar is a bold design choice, but does this sacrifice the vehicle’s safety for space? The answer is no. The Zeekr MIX features hidden double B-pillars. Each side of the vehicle is equipped with two integrated hot-formed steel pillars, about 70mm in diameter, making a total of four. These submarine-grade, 2000 MPa hot-formed steel pillars run the full length of the doors, ensuring the safety of the spacious design.
Despite its compact 4688mm length, the MIX boasts a 3008mm wheelbase and a five-seat layout with a flat floor. It also features three sets of 2-meter-long electric sliding rails, and the driver and passenger seats can rotate 270°. The result is a highly flexible and efficiently used space, surpassing even many traditional MPVs. This car offers a variety of use scenarios, serving as both a professional camping vehicle and an outdoor meeting room.
Standard Lidar and Dual Orin-X Chips, All Models Equipped with Hozon Intelligent Driving 2.0
When it comes to intelligent driving, there are two basic technological approaches: pure vision-based systems and those equipped with lidar. Zeekr MIX has opted for the latter. All versions come standard with lidar and dual Orin-X chips, supporting the Hozon Intelligent Driving 2.0 system. The MIX will also start gradually rolling out its mapless urban NZP (Navigate on Zeekr Pilot) at the end of this month.
In this price range, most new energy vehicles include intelligent driving features, both to remain competitive and to offer genuine convenience. Zeekr MIX excels at intelligent parking, using an end-to-end parking model to enable features like “drop passengers off first, then park.” It can remotely park in and out of narrow spaces, dead-end spots, and unmarked areas. Notably, it can also adjust based on neighboring cars, creating space for both vehicles—a truly smart feature!
"800V"—Zeekr MIX Offers Three Versions
An 800V high-voltage system is standard in this price range, and Zeekr MIX delivers, including high-performance silicon carbide rear-drive motors. The motor’s maximum output is 310kW, with peak torque reaching 440Nm. Given the vehicle’s nearly 3-ton curb weight, its 0-100km/h acceleration in 6.8 seconds is commendable.
As for the battery, there are two options. First, a 76kWh second-generation “Golden Brick” battery offers a CLTC range of 550km, with a peak charging rate of 5.5C, enabling a 10%-80% charge in just 10.5 minutes. The second option is a 102kWh “Qilin” battery, providing over 700km of range, with 500km of range added in just 15 minutes of charging. The convenience of the 800V ultra-fast charging battery speaks for itself and helps ease range anxiety.
Zeekr MIX has also made some additional improvements, such as the Joule heat pump air conditioning system, which significantly enhances thermal management efficiency in cold weather, optimizing both energy consumption and range—especially useful in northern regions.
A Unique Crossover with No Direct Competitors
