New Car Release: Starting at $26,000, Dongfeng Honda e:NS2 Launched
On June 25th, Dongfeng Honda e:NS2 was officially launched, offering a total of four configurations, with an official price range of $26,000 to $29,000. This car is the second model in Dongfeng Honda’s e:N series, positioned as a pure electric mid-size car, featuring a shooting brake coupe design style, with a CLTC range of 545 kilometers.
The exterior design of the e:NS2 adopts what the manufacturer calls the e:N Design concept, with body lines and lighting details that create a sharp visual effect. The body side features a continuous waistline extending from the front light group to the rear.
In terms of dimensions, the e:NS2 measures 4788/1838/1570 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2735 mm. The rear part of the car features tail lights that echo the design of the front lights and adopts the popular through-type styling.

The interior of the e:NS2 is simple in design, with a pass-through design under the center console and a continuous air outlet. The new car offers a HUD head-up display system and a 12.8-inch central control screen, with the instrument panel integrated with the continuous air outlet.

The e:NS2 comes in four configuration models, all of which come standard with active braking, lane-keeping assist, road sign recognition, traffic light recognition, side curtain airbags, a 360-degree panoramic camera, and full-speed adaptive cruise control. The differences between the configurations mainly lie in seat materials, front seat ventilation/heating, second-row seat heating, audio brand, and the number of speakers.

Additionally, the e:NS2 is equipped with the Honda CONNECT 4.0 intelligent navigation and connectivity system, offering features such as Honda in-car gesture control, in-car selfie/automatic photo upload in case of emergency, child presence detection and reminder, fragrance system, intelligent heating system, and 220V external power supply.

In terms of power, the e:NS2 is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The power battery is a 68.8 kWh ternary lithium battery produced by CATL, with a CLTC range of 545 kilometers.

Looking at sales, in the pure electric mid-size car segment, only the BMW i3 and Toyota bZ3 among joint venture brands have reached five-digit sales in the past six months. Considering its price and positioning, the main competitors of the Dongfeng Honda e:NS2 after its launch include Changan Deep Blue SL03, Toyota bZ3, XPeng P7, and BYD Seal. Do you think the e:NS2, with its pricing and features, can secure a place in this segment?
