BYD Big Box: Leopard Titanium 7 Officially Launched

Titanium 7-5

On the evening of September 9, BYD’s Leopard brand officially launched its latest model—the Titanium 7. Positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, the Titanium 7 is priced between ¥179,800 – ¥219,800RMB.

Compared with the family’s Leopard 8, the price difference is quite significant. BYD also clarified the product positioning: the Leopard series is designed as non-load-bearing SUVs for intelligent off-road performance, while the Titanium series adopts a load-bearing SUV structure, focusing on all-around urban usability. Load-bearing SUVs generally offer better interior space and comfort, making them more suitable for most users.

Following the Titanium 3, the Titanium 7 becomes Leopard’s second load-bearing SUV—this time as a plug-in hybrid, offering an ideal balance for customers who need both personal driving fun and family practicality.

📏 Dimensions & Exterior Design

The Titanium 7 measures 4999/1995/1865 mm (L/W/H) with a 2920 mm wheelbase, putting it on par with full-size SUVs in terms of presence.

Unlike the rugged Leopard 8, the Titanium 7 takes on a smoother, more rounded design with bold headlamp styling. The front fascia adopts a contrasting color scheme, a muscular bumper, and a tall stance, exuding strong road presence.

From the side, sharp horizontal lines define its silhouette, while flared rear fenders add muscularity. The rear side windows are also designed with expandability in mind, allowing future accessory attachments for added versatility.

At the back, the Titanium 7 features a “small backpack” tailgate box (32.5L), ideal for tools or odor-prone items. The tailgate opens from right to left, a thoughtful design for China’s left-hand-drive, right-side traffic conditions.

At the launch, Leopard also showcased bold new red and purple gradient body colors, setting it apart from the Leopard 8’s off-road-focused theme.

Leopard also introduced its smart ecosystem, with BYD Pad expansion ports located behind the front seats. The BYD Pad functions as both a tablet and a car control device, supporting 45 vehicle control functions—useful both in the car and at home.

As a large five-seater SUV, the Titanium 7 excels in space and comfort. All seats feature luxury “Comfort Seats” with heating, ventilation, and even 10-point massage. An intelligent refrigerator (-6℃ to 50℃) further elevates convenience.

The cargo area is equally impressive:

  • Standard trunk volume: 970L

  • Effective cabin length: 3310mm

  • With rear seats folded: up to 1880L

This makes the Titanium 7 perfect for camping, road trips, and family adventures.
