Latest Leak | Spy Shots of BYD's New MPV Exposed: Possibly Tang MAX, Expected to Debut in the Third Quarter of This Year
Recently, we obtained a set of the latest spy photos of BYD’s Dynasty series MPV from online sources, suspected to be the Tang MAX. Based on the inferred body dimensions from the images, this vehicle is likely positioned as a mid-to-large-sized MPV. According to previous information, this all-new MPV model is expected to debut in the third or fourth quarter of 2024.
From the spy photos, the all-new MPV is still heavily camouflaged, revealing only a rough outline. The front end has a full and robust appearance, and the length of the front part is similar to the proportions of the Denza D9. The lighting assembly does not appear to feature production car components. Details suggest that this test vehicle is mainly used for testing and acceptance of certain functions.
On the side of the vehicle, the new MPV has a relatively square body shape with a straight waistline throughout. The rear doors continue to use the sliding door opening method. Additionally, the vehicle adopts a spoke-style wheel design with BYD Tang’s logo in the middle, leading to the inference that this vehicle is the Tang MAX.
At the rear, the overall design of the new MPV is still heavily camouflaged, and the taillights are also test components. There is likely to be a significant difference from the final production model.
Currently, details about the power system of this new MPV have not been disclosed. However, considering the power system of the Denza D9, it is likely that this vehicle will offer consumers a choice of plug-in hybrid and pure electric power. We will continue to follow up on more information about this vehicle.
