At the front, the G7 sports an “X”-shaped headlight signature integrating light bars and main lamps, while the rear adopts a taillight design reminiscent of the XPeng P7+. XPeng’s proprietary “Sporty Brain” decision-making algorithm elevates its driver-assist performance several times above average.
Huawei-Powered AR-HUD for Next-Level Visibility
In a first for XPeng, the G7 debuts an AR-HUD system co-developed with Huawei, offering a massive 87-inch augmented reality display. This integrates with real-world road environments to provide lane-level navigation, driver assistance visuals, and safety alerts. The full-scene AR light carpet, for instance, overlays navigation directly onto the road — even in heavy rain or fog, it can identify cars and lanes for added safety.
Entertainment for Everyone Onboard
Tech-savvy passengers will enjoy a 15.6-inch floating central display, an 8-inch rear-seat entertainment screen, and a 7.1.4 surround sound system with 20 speakers. This comprehensive setup ensures an immersive, in-car entertainment experience for all.
Range and Platform Highlights
While the pre-sale event did not reveal full powertrain or chassis specifications, it was confirmed that the G7 will offer up to 702 km CLTC range. The entire lineup is built on an 800V high-voltage SiC (silicon carbide) platform, supporting 5C ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Final Thoughts
Although the starting price of the G7 isn’t dramatically lower than the existing XPeng G9 (only about ¥10,000 more), it’s what lies under the hood — the high-end intelligent hardware and software — that sets it apart.
