1. What are the Different Versions of BYD’s Advanced Intelligent Driving?
BYD has introduced the new generation “God’s Eye” Intelligent Driving system, which is divided into three versions: A, B, and C, corresponding to the DiPilot 600, 300, and 100, representing different levels of computing power. The specific differences are as follows:

God’s Eye C – Advanced Intelligent Driving Three-Camera Version
- Hardware Configuration: No lidar, pure vision-based solution with 5 mm-wave radars, 12 cameras (including 3 forward-view cameras), and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
- Chip Quantity: Single Orin-N chip / Single J6M chip.
- Computing Power: DiPilot 100 (84-128 TOPS).
- Features: Supports basic Intelligent Drivingfunctions like high-speed navigation, parking, but lacks city navigation capability.
- Applicable Models: BYD’s mid-to-low-end models (ranging from ¥100,000 to ¥200,000, including Dynasty and Ocean Series).
- Identification: Blue rear badge.
The “God’s Eye C” is BYD’s entry-level Intelligent Driving version, mainly equipped in vehicles priced around ¥100,000, focusing on practicality. It uses a “pure vision solution” without lidar, but comes with 12 cameras, 5 mm-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic sensors, providing a computing power of 84 TOPS to enable functions like high-speed NOA, intelligent cruise control, and automatic parking.
For example, the Seagull Intelligent Driving version, priced at ¥80,000, still supports L2-level Intelligent Driving with features like automatic lane change and ramp entry, making it a “budget-friendly high-tech” option. However, it has its limitations, only enabling NOA on highways or fast roads, while city driving still requires manual intervention.

God’s Eye B – Advanced Intelligent Driving Laser Version
- Hardware Configuration: 1 or 2 lidar units (depending on the model), 5 mm-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, camera configuration slightly lower than version A.
- Chip Quantity: Single Orin-X chip.
- Computing Power: DiPilot 300 (254 TOPS).
- Features: Supports city navigation, high-speed navigation, parking, but with slightly lower performance than version A.
- Applicable Models: BYD’s mid-to-high-end models and Denzabrand (e.g., ¥200,000 models).
- Identification: Red rear badge.
Compared to the “God’s Eye C,” the “God’s Eye B” version adds one lidar unit, increasing the computing power to 254 TOPS, with enhanced features. In addition to highway NOA, it supports city road navigation, including automatic pedestrian avoidance and traffic light recognition.
This version is mainly featured in BYD’s high-end Ocean and Dynasty Series models (such as the Han EV and Tang DM-i) and the Denza brand, priced between ¥150,000 and ¥200,000.

God’s Eye A – Advanced Intelligent Driving Three-Laser Version
- Hardware Configuration: 3 lidar units, 5 mm-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and multiple cameras (including 2 forward-view cameras).
- Chip Quantity: Dual Orin-X chips.
- Computing Power: DiPilot 600 (508 TOPS).
- Features: Supports city navigation, high-speed navigation, and full-scenario parking.
- Applicable Models: Exclusive for the premium Yangwang brand (e.g., Yangwang U8).
- Identification: Golden rear badge.
The “God’s Eye A” version is tailored for BYD’s luxury Yangwang brand, equipped with three lidar units and dual Orin-X chips, boasting a computing power of 508 TOPS. It supports more advanced functions like complex scenario parking, such as “Easy Square Parking” for narrow spaces. However, this version is more of a technical showcase and may not be necessary for average consumers.

2. What is "God's Eye C"?
The “God’s Eye C” introduced at this launch elevates BYD’s Intelligent Driving to a new level for the general public.
According to the release, BYD’s system, developed over 7 years, uses the BAS 3.0 architecture and superhuman driving assistance. To reduce costs and target a wider market, the “God’s Eye C” does not feature lidar but relies on vision-based perception. BYD’s unique “Front Three-Eye” 5R12V12U perception system includes 5 mm-wave radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars.
The highlight is the “ErLang Shen” front-view three-camera system, consisting of 2 wide-angle cameras and 1 telephoto camera, each with 8 megapixels, capable of achieving a 10x dense point cloud in visual sensing, comparable to lidar.
The 5 mm-wave radars have unique advantages, with a front radar detection range of up to 300 meters and angular radar virtual channels reaching 16, surpassing industry standards.

In terms of functionality, the “God’s Eye C” supports highway and fast-road navigation, performing tasks like off-ramp entry/exit, lane keeping, cruise driving, automatic lane change, and obstacle avoidance. It also supports full-scenario intelligent parking, including valet parking, dead-end parking, remote parking in narrow spaces, side/oblique parking, custom parking spaces, and unmarked parking.
BYD also emphasized the safety focus of this system, aiming to reduce driver fatigue and traffic accidents. The system’s AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) function can brake stably at speeds of up to 100 km/h, and future updates will enable AEB at speeds of 120 km/h and 140 km/h, ensuring rapid decision-making to avoid accidents.
As for the intelligent cockpit, models with the “God’s Eye C” will be equipped with the DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit, starting with a 12.8-inch central screen, along with a full LCD instrument display, capacitive steering wheel, and dedicated Intelligent Driving paddle shifters.

3. Which Models Will Be the First to Feature God's Eye Intelligent Driving?
Now let’s take a look at the models that will first feature the Intelligent Driving upgrade. At the conference, BYD displayed 21 vehicles, which are the first to receive the Intelligent Driving upgrade.
