The mid-to-large intelligent flagship MPV, BYD Xia, was officially launched on January 8, 2025. Available in four configurations, it offers two pure electric range options under CLTC conditions: 100km and 180km. Customers can choose from four exterior colors and two interior color schemes. Prices range between $36,000 and $44,000.

Exterior Design
The design of BYD Xia inherits the Dynasty series’ neo-traditional “Dragon Face” aesthetics. The square-shaped front fascia features “dragon whisker” accents with a 3D sprayed finish and a semi-translucent smoked-black style. The LED daytime running lights extend from the central logo to both sides, while the grille incorporates overlapping dragon-scale patterns. The vehicle’s upper contour is sleek and angular, with a floating waistline stretching from the front fender to the rear tail lights. The roofline integrates evenly distributed aerodynamic spoilers, ensuring both optimized interior space and aerodynamic efficiency.

Luxury is further enhanced with a variety of decorative panels and soft-touch materials. NAPPA leather seats and large-scale soft padding are used across door trims, the dashboard, and the center console. Interior color options include Tan Brown and Far Mountain Gray dual-tone schemes.

As a high-end family MPV, BYD Xia is equipped with one-piece aviation seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The second-row independent seats include a small refrigerator underneath the front central island console, accessible via electronic controls for second-row passengers or through the armrest compartment for front-row passengers. The third-row seats offer electric adjustment, 100mm of forward-backward movement, and one-touch folding, providing enhanced flexibility for interior space.
Advanced Intelligence
All BYD Xia models come standard with the 5R12V “God’s Eye” advanced driving assistance system—DiPilot 100. With 29 sensors, the system supports features such as highway navigation, lane keeping, adaptive cruise control, lane-change by lever, automatic parking, and lane departure assistance, significantly improving safety and convenience. The vehicle also includes the Yun-Nian-C intelligent damping body control system to ensure a smooth and comfortable driving experience across various road conditions.
Performance and Efficiency
Powered by BYD’s fifth-generation DM technology, the Xia features a 1.5T plug-in hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of 45.3%, an EHS200 hybrid system, and a blade battery optimized for plug-in hybrid power. The CLTC pure electric range is 100km or 180km, with a combined range of 1060km when fully charged and fueled. The NEDC fuel consumption in hybrid mode is just 5.3L/100km.
