The Upgraded P7? XPeng's Newest Family Model P7+ Launches with Over 10,000 Units Sold
XPeng Motors has been making significant strides recently. Their MONA M03 model has surpassed 10,000 deliveries for two consecutive months, and yesterday, they officially launched the XPeng P7+. Within just 12 minutes of launch, the P7+ garnered over 10,000 confirmed orders. Though the name may suggest it’s an upgrade of the P7 or P7i, the P7+ is actually a standalone model—a mid-to-large, two-door hatchback in the XPeng lineup. The initial launch features three configurations, starting at approximately $27,000.
Design Highlights
The XPeng P7+ boasts a trendy split design, with a front star ring light beautifully paired with high and low beam headlights, preserving XPeng’s family aesthetic while adding a stylish and tech-forward feel. The vehicle’s dimensions are 5056mm (length), 1937mm (width), and 1512mm (height), with a 3000mm wheelbase. As the first XPeng model with a purely vision-based intelligent driving solution, the P7+ brings innovation in sensor configuration by relying on cameras and millimeter-wave radar rather than LiDAR for precise perception and judgment.
Exterior Colors
The new car offers six colors, all free: Crescent Silver, Nebula White, Midnight Black, Cloud Beige, Twilight Purple, and Stellar Matte Grey—the last being a limited-edition color.
Interior and Comfort
XPeng has also prioritized comfort and luxury in the P7+ interior. It features three screens throughout the cabin, providing comprehensive entertainment and information for all passengers. All models come standard with NAPPA leather seating (Alcantara for the limited edition), 12-way power adjustment for the driver (including 4-way lumbar support), and 10-way power adjustment for the passenger (also with 4-way lumbar support). All configurations offer dual ventilation, dual heating, and six massage settings, ensuring drivers and passengers enjoy a cozy, home-like comfort while on the road.
Interior Colors
There are four interior color schemes available at no extra cost: Prestige Grey, Deep Space Grey, Moonlit Beige, and Ascendant Green, with Ascendant Green reserved as an exclusive limited-edition color.
Advanced Smart Technology
The P7+ leads in intelligent technology with its new AI Eagle Eye Vision Solution, which enhances perception distance by 125% and recognition speed by 40%, offering drivers a safer and more convenient smart driving experience.
Performance
The P7+ is rear-wheel drive with a single permanent magnet synchronous motor. The base long-range model offers a maximum power of 180 kW, maximum torque of 450 Nm, and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The other two versions provide 230 kW of maximum power and the same maximum torque, with a 0-100 km/h acceleration of 5.9 seconds. Electric-only range options are 620 km and 710 km, ensuring peace of mind for longer journeys.
The main offering at launch is the Long Range Max version. Compared to the standard Long Range Max, it costs about $1,800 more, has a 15.6 kWh larger battery, 108 km more CLTC range, slightly higher motor power, and 1-second faster 0-100 km/h acceleration (from 6.9 seconds to 5.9 seconds). However, for most people, the 620 km CLTC range (which will increase to 615 km in December) on the standard Long Range version is sufficient. With current battery cell prices being relatively low, the standard Long Range Max version offers the best value.
